Take 30% less Fall damage
Spawn a Shield Bubble Jr. when you use a healing item on yourself (excluding splashes and grenades).
Increases in duration at each Level Up: 6 Seconds -> 7 Seconds -> 8 Seconds -> 9 Seconds -> 10 Seconds
Zero Point spawns a Shield Bubble when you heal — a free defensive cooldown every time you med. The ideal loop: take chip damage, pop a mini shield, get a free bubble while healing, use the bubble to reset the fight. Extremely strong in 1v1 scenarios where both players are low. Gem's 30% fall damage reduction is niche but powerful in Build mode — take risky height plays without worrying about fall punishes.
This guide covers the base Zero Point sprite's abilities and strategy. The Gem Zero Point variant shares the same core mechanics with an additional theme bonus.
Zero Point is Fortnite's premier defensive sprite. Every time you use a healing item on yourself (medkits, bandages, shield potions — excluding splashes and grenades), a Shield Bubble Jr. deploys around you automatically. This bubble blocks incoming fire for its duration, turning every heal into instant cover. In Zero Build mode, where you can't build walls, this effect is game-changing.
Zero Point is widely considered the #1 sprite for Zero Build by defensive-minded players. Without building, healing in the open is a death sentence — enemy snipers and AR sprayers punish any stationary moment. Zero Point eliminates this vulnerability entirely. Pop a shield potion and you're protected. Use a medkit and the bubble gives you the full 10-second heal window without interruption.
The Shield Bubble lasts 6 seconds at Level 1, scaling to 10 seconds at Level 5. The Level 1 bubble is already useful — 6 seconds covers most shield potion uses (3 seconds) with buffer time. At Level 5, you have a full 10-second dome that blocks all projectiles, enabling safe medkit usage even under sustained fire from multiple directions.
In Build mode, Zero Point drops in value significantly. You can already build walls around yourself to heal safely — the bubble is redundant cover. Most Build-mode players prefer Ghost (offensive repositioning) or King (wall-taking) because they provide advantages you can't replicate with building. Zero Point remains usable but not optimal.
As a Mythic sprite, Zero Point has an astronomically low natural drop rate from Sprite Chests (~0.000098%). Summoning costs 7,500 Sprite Dust. Most players will need significant playtime to afford this — budget approximately 30-50 hours of active Sprite Dust farming. The investment is worthwhile for dedicated Zero Build players who will use it every match.
