Cube Earth è una variante a tema Cube dello sprite Earth della stagione Runners in Fortnite. È uscito e disponibile per la raccolta in Fortnite.
Triggers Overdrive when inside the Storm, granting increased movement speed to escape or reposition safely.
You have a chance to find additional rare items when opening chests.
Chance increases at each Level Up: 10% -> 12.5% -> 15% -> 17.5% -> 20% chance to find additional rare loot
Earth's chest loot bonus is subtle but compounds over a full match. Land at POIs with high chest density (10+ chests) to maximize the extra rare-item procs. The effect triggers per chest, not per match — so a fast looting rotation beats a slow careful one. Cube variants trigger Overdrive when inside the Storm — a movement speed boost for escaping or repositioning in the circle. Released July 23, 2026 as part of New Sprite Day. Best paired with late-game rotation strategies where storm positioning matters.
This guide covers the base Earth sprite's abilities and strategy. The Cube Earth variant shares the same core mechanics with an additional theme bonus.
Earth increases your chance of finding additional rare items when opening chests. It's one of the most passive sprites in the game — you never notice it activating because there's no visual effect or sound cue. Items just appear in chests that wouldn't normally contain them. The effect is invisible but statistically impactful over many chest opens.
Earth's bonus chance scales: 10% → 12.5% → 15% → 17.5% → 20% at Levels 1-5. At Level 5, one in five chests gives bonus rare loot. Over a full match where you might open 10-15 chests, that's 2-3 extra rare items on average. The bonus items can include Epic and Legendary weapons, making early-game loot runs significantly more rewarding.
Multiple players have reported finding Mythic weapons from regular chests while running Earth sprite — items that normally only drop from specific bosses or Mythic chests. This hasn't been confirmed by data miners at exact rates, but the community consensus is that Earth's bonus loot table can occasionally roll extremely high-tier items.
Earth is strongest in the first 3-5 minutes of a match when you're opening the most chests. Land at chest-dense POIs (large buildings, named locations with multiple floor spawns) to maximize the proc chance. Once mid-game arrives and chest-opening slows down, Earth's value drops dramatically — you're finding loot from kills instead.
The community rates Earth poorly because its effect is invisible, unreliable, and front-loaded to early game only. You never know whether that Legendary AR came from Earth's bonus or would have spawned anyway. Compare to Ghost's tangible, consistent, mid-fight impact, and Earth feels like it barely exists. It's not bad — it's just unnoticeable.
