기능

Take 30% less Fall damage.

Base ability (from Fire): Creates a fiery burst when you deal enough damage to an enemy!

This variant is currently unreleased and will become available in a future update.

Fire rewards aggressive damage-first playstyles. The burst triggers at a damage threshold, not a kill — meaning you can proc it mid-fight to finish weakened enemies. At max level (50 damage threshold), almost every AR spray triggers the burst automatically. Gem's 30% fall damage reduction is niche but powerful in Build mode — take risky height plays without worrying about fall punishes.

FIRE GUIDE

This guide covers the base Fire sprite's abilities and strategy. The Gem Fire variant shares the same core mechanics with an additional theme bonus.

The Community's Consensus Worst Sprite

Fire triggers a damage burst when you deal enough damage to an enemy. The community ranking places Fire firmly at the bottom, and our player vote confirms it. The fundamental problem: by the time you've dealt enough damage to trigger Fire's burst, you've usually already killed or nearly killed your opponent — making the extra damage redundant chip on a dying player.

Damage Threshold Problem

Fire's trigger threshold decreases with levels: 150 → 125 → 100 → 75 → 50 damage required. At Level 1, you need to deal 150 damage before the burst triggers — that's an enemy who's already lost most of their health. At Level 5, 50 damage is more reasonable (a single AR shot), but even then the burst lands on someone you're actively shooting anyway.

Why the Burst Rarely Matters

The fiery burst deals area damage after triggering, but opponents can easily move away from the effect zone. The burst has a travel time and visible landing indicator, giving enemies a clear "dodge this" warning. Against competent players, the burst rarely lands full damage because they simply move. In theory it finishes low-HP enemies; in practice they dodge or they're already dead from your gunfire.

Extremely Niche Uses

Fire's only compelling scenario is close-quarters Build mode fights where enemies are trapped in boxes. If you're spraying through an edit and the opponent can't move, Fire's burst will hit them at full damage. It's also marginally useful against groups — deal 50 damage to one player and the AoE can tag nearby teammates. But these scenarios are too rare to justify equipping Fire over any other sprite.

The Community's Exact Quote

The original Reddit tier list creator said it best: "there's just no way I'm putting a sprite like Fire alongside sprites that actually have some use." Fire doesn't offer zero value — it does technically deal extra damage. But when every other sprite in the game does something more impactful, more reliable, or more immediate, Fire earns its bottom placement by default.
